Thường được nói vui để cho rằng người mẹ có nhiều con thì càng trở nên đẹp, có phúc hoặc được nhờ con cái; cũng có thể gợi ý rằng đông con, mỗi người góp một chút, cha mẹ sẽ đỡ đần và vui lòng hơn. Dùng trong lời nói đùa, thân mật, không nên hiểu hoàn toàn theo nghĩa thực.

This proverb is usually used humorously to say that a mother with many children becomes more attractive, fortunate, or benefits from her children; it can also suggest that when there are many children, each contributes a little and the parents are better supported. It is mainly a joking, familiar expression and should not be taken too literally.
